Disabled students (N=117) reading three passages were ranked by degree of implementation of a curriculum-based measurement and evaluation system. Comparison of top and bottom 27 percent revealed score differences on all passages, suggesting that a high degree of implementation of a technically adequate data system leads to greater achievement. The study evaluated a school-based integrated aerobic conditioning program for children (ages 6 to 13) with moderate to severe disabilities. Evaluation indicated that 9 of the 12 disabled students improved their level of fitness and that both disabled and nondisabled students enjoyed the program. (Author/DB)
