engage2learn growelab Efficacy Study with STAAR: An Exploration of Math & Science Outcomes for Grades 6-8, 2022-2023 School Year

Responsive coaching at engage2learn is an innovative and evidence-based solution. This 2022-2023 study, paired with previous reports, compellingly validates the efficacy of the engage2learn program by exploring end-of-year STAAR test performance for Math and Science among Grades 6-8. LXD Research, an independent research firm, analyzed educator achievement through the life of the engage2learn partnership with a large urban school district in Texas. This report focuses on student growth on benchmark assessments (over 4,000 students) during the 2022-2023 school year. It evaluates the relationship between e2L coaching of educators and student academic performance, along with differences in student experiences in school and educator feedback. The robust sample, students of 121 teachers across ten schools, showed that the impact of teacher engagement with e2L as measured in the educator coaching platform on student academic growth is positive and significant in both math and science.
