Clarke, Lillian W.; Teddlie, Charles B. – Delta Pi Epsilon Journal, 1987
The study attempted to determine if there are differences in the perception of male and female managers toward communication barriers. Rosin, Hazel; Korabik, Karen – Journal of Vocational Behavior, 1995
Survey data from 303 female and 238 male managers revealed the only sex differences were in marital status, number of children, income, perceptions of job demands, and met expectations. Rosen, Monica – Learning and Instruction, 1995
Gender differences in cognitive abilities were studied in 1,224 13-year olds using a multivariate latent variables approach. No gender differences were found in the structure of cognitive abilities, but mean differences in favor of females were found for general intelligence, with higher means for males on most spatial dimensions. Overall, John E. – Applied Psychological Measurement, 1980
The use of general linear regression methods for the analysis of categorical data is recommended. The general linear model analysis of a 0,1 coded response variable produces estimates of the same response probabilities that might otherwise be estimated from frequencies in a multiway contingency table. Blais, Marc R.; And Others – Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, 1990
Montreal college students (n=457) rated 21 life domains (for example, education, friends, leisure, health) in terms of degree of importance, frequency of involvement, and level of impact. The list of domains significantly related to life satisfaction proved to be much broader for females than for males. (DM)

Bridges, Judith S. – Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, 1991
Attitudes toward rape were examined by assessing the reactions of 95 male and female college students to scenarios about couples in varying degrees of acquaintanceship. Males had more rape-supportive beliefs. It appears that college students view date rape as an extension of traditional male-female sexual interaction. (DM)

Assesses whether artists as an occupational group are more apt to die from suicide than nonartists.
