Employment and training in solar installation work is provided by fifteen Solar Utilization/Economic Development and Employment (SUEDE) demonstration projects funded by the United States Departments of Labor and Energy and the Community Services Administration. Describes the Work Equity Project (WEP) in Minnesota, a demonstration project funded by the Employment and Training Administration to place welfare recipients in training and employment programs leading to private, nonsubsidized jobs.
