The purpose of this study was to broaden the aptitude by treatment interaction paradigm. The relationship between memory span and performance in two different transfer conditions was examined, and task involvement and anxiety were considered as they contribute to the relationship between aptitudes and performance. Describes a study exploring the efficacy of disclosure as a stigma management strategy in normal-stigmatized interactions. Path analysis of the data indicates a process leading from uncertainty, tension, and attraction to acceptance/rejection, as expected.
