Evaluation of the basic science curriculum in the regionalized program of the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSM), where first-semester courses are taught at universities in Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WAMI), revealed that students at participating sites achieved as well as those at UWMS.
