Describing activities of secondary students who participate in a 5 1/2 day trip on the sailing training vessel, Svanen, this article illustrates outdoor education aboard a 96-foot, 3-masted schooner built in 1916 and currently used by the Oslo American School (a U.S. Dependent School) for field experiences.
