The "Teaching for TU Student Success: Trauma-Informed Learning Environments (TILE) Workshop" provides faculty professional development in trauma-informed pedagogy through several innovative components, including a menu of distinctive content, participation of an instructional designer to provide learning support, and information and encouragement to undertake Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) efforts in order to increase awareness of the positive impact of this teaching approach. This article explains the vision, process, and planned assessment and evaluation of this new self-paced workshop at Towson University, a public, very diverse higher education institution near Baltimore, Maryland.
