Many four-year institutions are offering associate degree programs, a number which is increasing as pressure grows from communities demanding more occupationally-oriented programs. The University of Minnesota at Waseca is one of two State technical colleges for agriculture offering an associate degree program that prepares students for mid-management, semi-professional positions in broad fields of agriculture.
