Describes seven strategies used to make CEEP modules readable and appealing to students. These include involving classroom teachers in writing the modules, early analysis of word- and concept-levels, and using a list of familiar words in editing the modules. (MA)

The three stages of evaluation of the instructional modules of the Crustal Evolution Evaluation Project (CEEP) are described. Self-instructional evaluation procedures were developed and used. These are presently available to science educators through NAGT or the ERIC system. (SA)
