Describes the program in a summer institute for 25 junior high school science teachers. Innovations used in the program included lecture-demonstrations, small group discussions, open-ended laboratories, and viewing physics films. Problems that arose are reviewed. Results of a summer training seminar for elementary art teachers showed that students taught by teachers trained in aesthetic education demonstrate a measurable increase in their sensitivity to aesthetic stimuli. The seminar is described and the evaluation results are discussed. (RM)
