The handbook was designed to serve as a job scheduling guide and general reference for the data control section of the Southern University Computer Center (SUCC). A description of the computer operations service procedure at Southern University is provided. For each computer job catalogued and inventoried by the SUCC, a summary page is included that details job name, job code, major sub-application classifications, job description, and reference and scheduling information. Explanations of a Job Run Sheet and data element constraints are given along with a sample of each document included in an Operations Instruction Set used by computer jobs inventory and data inventories, are provided. The book also contains in appendixes a Disk "Type & Unit" Codes Table, an Application Codes Table, a Run Frequency Table, a Table of Program Execute Names, Computer Job Indexes, and a glossary. (GW)
