Using Mobile Applications to Develop the Teacher's Teaching Performance and Professional Development
Education and Information Technologies, v30 n15 p21353-21370 2025
This research examines the integration of mobile applications with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) to support the professional development of teachers, with a particular focus on computer science educators. Given the barriers teachers face in attending traditional training programs, such as time constraints, location, and costs, Mobile Learning (M-Learning) presents a flexible and accessible alternative. The study evaluates the effectiveness of mobile technology in improving teaching performance and professional growth through a dedicated mobile application that provides access to EKB's extensive educational resources. The research sample consisted of 20 computer science teachers from the Sherbin Educational Administration. The sample was divided into two groups: 10 teachers in the control group and 10 teachers in the experimental group. Search tool is an observation card including (20) performances the results are "There are statistically significant differences at the 0.01 level between the mean ranks of the teaching performance scores for the control and experimental groups in the post-test, with the experimental group showing better performance and There is a statistically significant difference at the 0.01 level between the mean ranks of the teaching performance scores for the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test, with the post-test showing better performance and using ourĀ mobile application in developing teaching performance and professional development for computer science teachers is highly effective, confirming their positive impact on both teaching performance and professional growth". Future research directions include enhancing ourĀ app functionality, expanding training content, and integrating more collaborative features to further support teachers.
