Interactive student instruction through computers in classrooms is becoming increasingly popular, and there is some reason to believe that the use of computers in the classroom is not a passing fad. Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) furnishes many of the computer systems for interactive student instruction in different schools: some of these programs are described in this brochure. Several DEC computer systems in university computer and research centers are briefly illustrated in an opening section: a complete list of centers which use DEC computers is provided at the end of the section. Other sections describe programs at university and college departments, in medium and small colleges, in junior colleges and vocational or technical schools, in public education, in private schools, and in educational research and other projects.
