Tobias, Sigmund; Duchastel, Phillipe C. – Instructional Science, 1974
An experiment in which findings indicate that expected interactions among objectives, sequence, and anxiety were not significant. (Author/HB)
Descriptors: Anxiety, Behavioral Objectives, Computer Assisted Instruction, Computer Science

Seidel, Robert J.; And Others – Instructional Science, 1978
This study was designed to test effects of a specified degree of learner control over the sequencing of instructional materials in a self contained tutorial CAI course in COBOL programming. Findings describe contributions and interactions of learner controlled variables with respect to instructional effectiveness and efficiency. (RAO)
Descriptors: Computer Assisted Instruction, Computer Science Education, Educational Research, Individualized Instruction

Nesbit, John C.; Hunka, Steve – Instructional Science, 1987
Proposes a criterion for selecting a sequence of objectives from a learning hierarchy and describes a sequence generating algorithm which is designed to generate a minimal memory load sequence from a learning tree. Its effectiveness in generating low memory load sequences from hierarchies that are not trees is also discussed. (RP)

Ranzijn, Frederik J. A. – Instructional Science, 1992
Describes two experiments in Dutch secondary schools that were carried out to study the effect of the sequencing of the information in computer-assisted instructional programs. Instructional design for concept learning is discussed; successive and coordinate relationships between concepts are explained; and tests designed for procedural and…
