The study demonstrates that board scores verify traditional grading as an indicator of student performance despite many variables; students who do well with traditional grades should do as well with national boards. For 83 low-achieving elementary students, predictions of future performance were computed on the basis of reading and written expression data and were subsequently compared to actual data. The reliability of derived measures from 4 cognitive paradigms was studied using 19 Navy enlisted men (aged between 18 and 24 years).
