This report focuses on the vocational and educational activities and accomplishments of the graduates of the University of Illinois. Results of a questionnaire survey indicated 83.0 percent of the graduates responding to the survey were employed. There was virtually no difference in the employment rate for men and women graduates. Married women, however, were somewhat less likely to be employed than were single women, the difference being most pronounced among the master's and doctor's degree graduates. The doctor's and professional degree graduates were considerably more frequently employed than were those at the bachelor's and master's degree levels. The graduates of the medical center campus were more likely to have jobs than was true for the other two campuses. Three fourths of the University's graduates with jobs were still in the first jobs they had obtained after graduation. Two thirds of the employed graduates surveyed were employed in Illinois. Most of the graduates overall were employed either by professional agencies and services or by industrial or business firms.
