Analyses of variables demonstrated the nature of each client's verbal responding as well as their pattern of change. Presents a model of meanings in coherent conversation taking the form of a hierarchy of levels of cognitive interpolations between the stream of behavior and archetypal patterns in conversations. Johnson, Collenn Leahy – Journal of Marriage and the Family, 1977
This paper presents an analysis of the qualitative aspects of kinship interaction among Japanese Americans in Honolulu. Based on semistructured interviews with 104 families, the findings indicate an increase in kinship solidarity with the third generation. Explanations of these findings utilize theorize of exchange and reciprocity. (Author)
