Actual Problems of Professional Training of Advocates in the Kyrgyz Republic
Education in the Asia-Pacific Region: Issues, Concerns and Prospects
The article reveals the key problems of professional training of advocates; analyzes the features of basic legal education and the system of advanced training; and discusses key approaches to state control over the quality of education. In the course of the study, it was determined that the main problems of professional training of advocates are mainly related to the lack of: (1) a special direction of training advocates in law schools of the Republic; (2) fundamental scientific and educational-methodological research on the problems of the preparation of professional training of advocates in higher education institutions; (3) systematized program training courses and their wide coverage of all advocates of the republic. It is concluded that the reform of the bar should begin with a reassessment of higher education, because the existing system of education does not meet the needs of modern legal practice. Higher education should be more practice-oriented, taking into account modern requirements and challenges that advocates face in their work. In addition, it is necessary to take into account the individual needs and specifics of each advocate's work in order to ensure more effective professional development. The reassessment of higher education will also help to solve the problem of the lack of up-to-date information in the framework of professional development programs, since advocates will receive relevant knowledge and skills during the training process.
