Reese, Susan
Techniques: Connecting Education and Careers (J3), v83 n7 p18-21 Oct 2008
Dual enrollment programs are a way for teenagers to get started early on their journey to a successful future, and many appear to be taking advantage of the opportunity. This article describes success stories in dual enrollment programs in Louisiana and Texas. Dual enrollment programs in these states are not only giving students an opportunity to earn postsecondary credentials while still in high school, they are helping to develop a pipeline of much needed skilled workers in the community.
