Describes a three-week, six credit, summer institute in New Brunswick designed to expose preservice teachers to the evolving understandings of giftedness and gifted learners. A survey of 25 participants indicates the institute was most successful in changing teachers awareness of giftedness and recognizing gifted learners' needs. (CR)

This study followed up teachers two years after they had attended a summer institute on gifted education to identify changes teachers made in their classrooms.
