Four hundred older adults participated in Virginia's "Golden Olympics" in which 28 sports were offered. Site selection, housing facilities, inexpensive meals, scheduling events, budgetary constraints, and information on how to gain publicity for a more positive image of the senior athlete were among major considerations.
