The hypothesis that fluid intelligence is equivalent to the factor of general intelligence is investigated using LISREL to specify higher-order models in reanalyses of three sets of psychometric data from subjects 11, 13, and 15 years old. The three studies showed fluid intelligence to be equivalent with a general factor. (LMO)

Using reasonable values for the parameters in both null and alternative hypotheses about covariance matrices, an optimal and feasible combination of number of subjects, significance level, and power of the test were determined for an empirical study of the measurement of musical ability. An interest questionnaire with 72 university course descriptions based on a facet design was used to determine whether computer anxiety or computer disinterest was related to interest in or willingness to take selected courses of 200 Belgian and German students.
