The death-related professional, often fatalistic in his own views of his own death, must live up to the social expectations for his role performance whil simultaneously being a functioning human being who must encounter death at a personal level and a businessman who must earn his living from working with death-related concerns. Effects of occupation upon 68 professionals and business managers were studied by means of retrospective focused interviews and objective sorting and rating procedures. Their occupation had nonintegrative effects on their values and self-concepts and autocentric and nonintegrative ones on their personal relationships. (Author)

Relationships between age and employee satisfaction with intrinsic and extrinsic outcomes were investigated in samples of female (n=177) and male (n=96) blue-collar operatives. Results indicated a linear approximation of the age-satisfaction relationships is adequate, and satisfaction with intrinsic outcomes is related to age. (Author)
