The success of a health fair as a source of health education and promoter of healthful behaviors depends to a great extent on the organizational expertise of the sponsor. In order to organize a successful health fair, objectives, target population, location, time, financing, and publicity must be considered. (JN)

The Brookline Early Education Project (BEEP) is a demonstration model in which a public school system assumes responsibility for the health education of children from birth to five years. Results are presented from a study of Project SHOUT, a tobacco-use prevention program which targets sixth and seventh graders.
