The State of Texas receives more from taxes paid by undocumented persons than it costs the state to provide them with public services, such as education, health care, corrections, and welfare. However, six Texas cities together expended more to provide services to undocumented aliens than they received in taxes. (RDN)

Undocumented Mexican women workers in Los Angeles were interviewed about their work experience in the United States. Most of them work in factories, not in domestic service. Most earn a salary above minimum wage but below that earned by documented women, and 80 percent believe their treatment at work equals that of other workers. (KH)

The relationships between sponsorship types and employment status among three ethnic groups of Indochinese refugees who arrived in the United States between 1978 and 1982 are examined via a survey of 1,780 refugees between 18 and 64 years old.
