Presents an information systems navigation approach using a combination of functionalities encountered in classification processes, Hypertext systems, and information retrieval systems. Proposes a single underlying structure for the production of a variety of computer index displays, using a networking system which represents both concepts and links by nodes. Describes the design of a database interface for infrequent users of computers which consists of a graphical display of a model of a database and a natural language query language.
