A Fortran IV multiple choice test scoring program for an IBM 370 computer is described that computes minimally acceptable performance levels and compares student scores to these levels. The program accomodates up to 500 items with no more than nine alternatives from a group of examinees numbering less than 10,000. (Author)

A two-phase FORTRAN IV program called ITANA-III for an IBM 1130 computer is described that permits computation of psychometric characteristics of multiple-choice examinations including test statistics (phase I) and item statistics (phase II). Consisting of 280 statements, the program can handle up to 200 items with not more than 9 alternatives…

Confidence scored tests allow subjects to respond to the options on a multiple choice test by assigning probabilities to each of the item options. This paper describes an interactive FORTRAN computer program used for administering, scoring, and interpreting the results of confidence scored tests. (Author/JKS)

Previous knowledge of the difficulty index and the intercorrelations of the items will allow group results to be predicted and manipulated. A compound bionomial probability function of a testscore is established for which a computer program has been written. Three item selections and the appropriate probability distributions are given which give…

A computer/tape recorder interface was designed, which permits automatic oral adminstration of "true-false" or "multiple-choice" type tests. This paper describes the hardware and control program software, which were developed to implement the method on a DEC PDP 11 computer. (Author/JKS)

TESTER, a computer program which produces individualized objective tests from a pool of items, is described. Available in both PL/1 and FORTRAN, TESTER may be executed either interactively or in batch. (Author/JKS)

Factor analysis was used to determine whether computerized patient management problems had the same factor structure as multiple choice examinations and rating scales. It was determined that the factor structure was similar to the examinations but not the rating scale. (JKS)
