Interhemispheric Learning and Speed of Hemispheric Transmission in Dyslexic and Normal Readers: A Replication of Previous Results and Additional Findings.
Vellutino, Frank R.; And Others
Applied Psycholinguistics, v4 n3 p209-28 Sep 1983
Two studies evaluated the interhemispheric transmission deficit explanation of reading disability by comparing second- and sixth-grade normal and poor readers on learning and discrimination tasks involving hemispheric presentations of visual stimuli. Results suggested verbal processing rather than interhemispheric transmission as a cause of group differences in visual-verbal learning. (MSE)
