Presents a model adopted by Ohio State University for use in the planning of a series of in-service training programs to be implemented by the professional programing staff and several hall directors. Described the adult development of 23 police officers. Found that subjects passed through a series of psychosocial stages and that stress and stress management were an important part of this process. Training and administrative implications are discussed. (JAC)

Presents data concerning social validation of an empirically based training model for increasing job-interview skills. The model was easily employed as an effective training procedure.
