Work at Home: New Findings from the Current Population Survey.

The new data on home-based work are analyzed by the author, who observes that most of the persons reporting such work are full-time workers who, apparently, do only a small part of their work at home. Only one-tenth of these workers were engaged in manufacturing activities. (CT)

The data on multiple jobholders are examined by the author. He finds a particularly sharp increase in the number of women with two jobs, which is another sign of the growing strength of their ties to the job market. Nearly five percent of working women are now multiple jobholders. (CT)

Compared to their Dominican counterparts, Colombian women in New York tend to have migrated at an older age, to be more urban in background, and to have more employment experience.
