Using a Delphi approach, 10 experts identified 186 practices from the fields of transition and dropout prevention that would be effective with high-risk students, including those with mild disabilities. Over a two-year period, disabled workers taught by co-worker trainers had greater job retention and employer satisfaction; they required less time from placement specialists than disabled workers without co-worker support.
