A survey of secondary schools in the Oyo and Ogun States of Nigeria indicated only 7 of 25 schools had professional counselors; counselled students had less adjustment problems than noncounselled students; and the most frequently recurring counselling problems were related to clients' study habits and associated emotional upheavals.
