Lischetzke, Tanja; Angelova, Rozalina; Eid, Michael – Psychological Assessment, 2011
This study analyzed the reliability and validity of an indirect measure of clarity of feelings that is based on response latencies (RTs) of mood ratings. Fifty-two participants completed a laboratory session and an experience-sampling week with 6 measurement occasions per day. Shorter RT of mood ratings measured in the laboratory (but not…

Wiberg, Marie; Sundstrom, Anna – Practical Assessment, Research & Evaluation, 2009
A common problem in predictive validity studies in the educational and psychological fields, e.g. in educational and employment selection, is restriction in range of the predictor variables. There are several methods for correcting correlations for restriction of range. The aim of this paper was to examine the usefulness of two approaches to…

Peer reviewedBrowne, M. W.; Cudeck, R. – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1989
Single sample approximations are considered for the cross-validation coefficient in the analysis of covariance structures. Results of a random sampling experiment--using data from ability tests administered to high school students (sample sizes 100, 400, and 800)--illustrate the coefficient and adjustment for predictive validity. Peer reviewedDent, Clyde W.; And Others – Evaluation Review, 1993
A method is presented to use school-level attributes in sample description and random assignment of schools to conditions in drug prevention programs. Utility of archival data was examined using multivariate canonical techniques, and it was found that a small set of data could predict observed variations in drug use. (SLD)
