Used a general systems model to evaluate a self-help support group for medical students (N=26). Results showed most medical students sought out support groups to fulfill social affiliation needs and gain better self-understanding. Analyzes usage of a campus counseling self-help tape program and discusses the potential for such services. Results indicated that, during the first two months of operation, sexuality represented the major concern. Males' and females' requests evidenced similar topic preferences.
