A Recovering Love Letter to Higher Education Professionals
About Campus, v30 n5 p42-45 2025
This love letter is a call to higher education professionals to raise their critical consciousness of the ways addiction and recovery affect professional practice in higher education. Some questions for consideration to raise critical consciousness around addiction and recovery in the academy are: what is your relationship to drugs and alcohol? Do you know anyone who is recovering from a substance use disorder? Why or why not? What aspects of your social identity affect your relationship to substance use and recovery? These questions allow one to critically reflect.
