Howard University Research and Training Center 1995 Sourcebook for Access to Multicultural Federal Programs.
Walker, Sylvia, Ed.; And Others
This sourcebook provides information about multicultural access to federal projects, grants, and research and career enhancement opportunities for individuals, institutions, and agencies concerned with disability and rehabilitation. The sourcebook is divided into three sections. Section 1 contains a description of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services projects and programs, including the Office of Special Education Programs, Rehabilitation Services Administration, and the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Section 2 highlights minority programs in various federal agencies, including programs available through the National Science Foundation. Each program listing usually includes the program name; a descriptive annotation; and information on the federal agency/division supporting the program, who may apply for the program, and how to contact the program. Section 3 contains information on multicultural diversity resources. Listings include regional contacts for the Rehabilitation Services Administration, special centers, national agencies, and members of the Howard University (District of Columbia) Research & Training Center National Advisory Committee.
