This Supplement has been prepared to be used with U.S. Office of Education Bulletin 1939, No. 2, which is the latest complete bulletin of accredited secondary schools in the United States. It shows under each State: First, names of schools which should be added to the corresponding lists (both local and regional) in the bulletin; next, those which should be removed whether because of lowering standards or voluntary withdrawal, or for any other reason, and also those removed from the list of the appropriate regional association; last, any changes which should be made in name or address, the listing as it should be at present being shown first, and after that the former listing. Under this heading are shown also the names of schools transferred from a higher or lower classification. Symbols are used in the supplement as in the bulletin.
