Tuition & Fees in Public Higher Education in the West, 2024-25. Detailed Data Tables
Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education
This report provides comprehensive data about the tuition and fee prices published by public higher education institutions in the West for academic year (AY) 2024-25, including changes in tuition and fee rates over the past one-, five-, and 10-year periods. For the first time, the report includes tuition and fees from each of the U.S. Pacific Territories and Freely Associated States. Tuition and fees in the West have remained relatively stable in the past decade when adjusting for inflation. At public two-year institutions, this trend continued as resident tuition and fees increased at a rate lower than inflation in the past year for the fourth year in a row. However, this was the first year since AY 2019-20 that tuition and fees at public four-year institutions increased when adjusted for inflation. Tuition and fees in the West, which historically have been lower than the national average at public four-year institutions, are closer to the national average in AY 2024-25 than they were 10 years prior.
