Statistical data are presented on Vietnam era veterans for the following topics: employment status, medical status, compensation and pension, education, housing assistance, expenditures, and demographic information. The estimated number and age of veterans in civil life, categorized by sex and state, and the educational attainment of veterans at the time of separation, by age groups, are presented. Information on length of service and estimated gross separations and number of casualties are included. Employment information includes work experience of civilian male veterans, aged 20-34; seasonally adjusted unemployment rates; and income data. Medical information includes annual census of patients in VA hospitals on September 28, 1977; outpatient medical care; and dental outpatient activity. Compensation and pension data include active compensation, dependency, and indemnity compensation and pension cases; active compensation cases, by degree of impairment and type of major disability; and age groups of veterans receiving compensation or pension benefits. Educational data concern educational assistance for veterans and vocational rehabilitation training. Housing assistance data concern guaranteed or insured loans, and data on expenditures concern Veterans Administration expenditures from appropriated funds, Vietnam era. (SW)
