This testimony provides an overview of health and environmental issues in U.S. schools and describes efforts by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in concert with other federal agencies, to help schools address environmental issues. These include the Clear Skies Initiative, Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools, High Performance Schools, promotion of integrated pest management, SunWise School Program, Healthy School Environments Web portal, and President's Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children.
