Congress of the U.S., Washington, DC. Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources.
Parents of missing children, juvenile division police officers, and members of citizen action groups provide testimony in a Senate hearing held to learn more about problems associated with the disappearance of a child from his or her family. Related publications, including a September, 1981 directory of missing persons, are appended after the testimony. The text of S.1701 is provided. Designed to amend title 28 of the United States Code, S.1701 authorizes the Attorney General to acquire and exchange information to assist federal, state, and local officials in the identification of certain deceased individuals and in the location of missing children and other specified individuals.
