Special educational paraprofessionals may experience burnout due to a number of factors, including stagnation, lack of career advancement, and poor salaries. Coping strategies may take the form of administrative prerogatives, teacher- and counselor-initiated strategies, and responsibilities of the paraprofessionals themselves. (CL)
