Effective Supervision in School Psychology.
Harvey, Virginia Smith; Struzziero, Joan A.
This book presents a comprehensive treatment of the supervision of school psychologists. It is useful for field supervisors of school psychology interns, school psychologists acting as supervising school psychologists, and graduate students enrolled in a supervision course. Because of the book's emphasis on human development, effective management strategies, case examples, and ethical dilemmas, it is particularly relevant to those new to the supervisory role. Case studies, exercises, supervisory protocols, and suggestions are provided to facilitate the development of supervisory expertise. In addition, examples of pertinent ethical dilemmas provide opportunities for exercises in supervisory problem solving. The appendix includes the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Standards: Training, Field Placement, and Credentialing and the NASP Professional Conduct Manual. (Contains over 350 references.) (Author/JDM)
