This report abstracts and summarizes seventy-eight Indiana research and development projects funded in 1977 with moneys allocated by parts C and D of the 1968 Vocational Education Amendments. The projects are grouped into the subject categories of innovative approaches, needs assessment, performance-based vocational education (PBVE), placement and follow-up, program improvement, regional communication, and state services and products. Within categories, the projects are alphabetized by county. Each project's abstract contains the project title and number, the name of the contact person, the developing county and school's name and address, total budget costs, grade levels, products developed, descriptors from the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) Thesaurus of Descriptors, and ED numbers when available. Each abstract also includes a summary of the project objectives, the procedures used to reach those objectives, and, in most cases, the project outcomes. Four separate indexes list (1) agencies and school corporations funded, (2) cities and counties in which the projects were based, (3) Indiana State Board of Vocational and Technical Education project numbers, and (4) subject by descriptor.
