Proceedings are presented of hearings before the Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources concerning the Women in Science and Technology Equal Opportunity Act. Testimony focused on the special health problems and needs of women and the need to provide equal opportunity for women in science careers. Among those testifying before the committee were Sidney Wolfe, Public Citizens Health Research Group; Barbara Seaman, co-founder of the National Women's Health Network; and Anne Briscoe, president, Association for Women in Science Educational Foundation.
