Mock); (4) "The Importance of Teaching History at a Community College: A President's Perspective" (C.M. Carroll); (5) "Teaching History at Two-Year Institutions: A Status Report and View of the Future" (J.J. Lorence), which summarizes a panel discussion with teaching faculty; (6) "Historical Scholarship and the Community College Teacher" (E. Edson), a revision of a 1994 Organization of American Historians Newsletter contribution; (7) "The Survey Course: The Specialty of the Community College Historian" (D.S. Trask); (8) "The National Endowment for the Humanities and Community College Historians: A Program Officer's Perspective" (J.J.
