The following four papers discuss essential aspects of either the process or the substance of special education consultation: "Consultant Beliefs Which Make a Significant Difference in Consultation" (A. Menlo), "The Human Dimension of Consultation" (M. E. Carroll), "Modeling a Process of Problem Identification" (L. N. Hodgson), and "The Self-Documentation Model: A Process for Consultation with Experienced Teachers in Special Education Practica" (P. C. Wood et al). The final three papers contain descriptions of formal training programs in special education consultation: "A Graduate Preparation Program in Special Education Teacher Consultation" (C. L.
