This article investigates how digital video technology can be used in ethnographic research and considers the implications of digital production, presentation and dissemination of ethnographic educational research knowledge. In this article, I introduce the term Ethnography 2.0 and address some of the issues that emerged from my decision to use digital video as part of a research process and consider the ontological and epistemological positions of research which looks at how learning and ethnography change in the digital world.
