Findings are presented based on a survey of work experience of persons who completed or dropped out of industrial and technical vocational programs in Nassau County's high schools during 1965-1969. The report covers, as of 1970, the labor force status of these former students and the kinds of jobs they held. It seeks to determine the extent to which their jobs were related to their high school training and, where they were unrelated, the reasons for that. Earnings in related and unrelated jobs are compared, and the contribution of vocational education in meeting needs for skilled craftsman is considered. The report also summarizes the opinions of the former students about their vocational education experience.
